I received the Bouchon cookbook for Christmas this year and it is quite simply one of the most beautiful cookbooks I have ever seen. Since Christmas I have spent at least 15 hours looking through it, reading recipes, and admiring photographs. It has solidified my thought that I really do want to eat at Bouchon someday.
Tonight I made the potato and leek soup with a a simple mixed green salad and vinaigrette. Oh my....it was heaven. It was such a simple dinner that took very little time. Sometimes, however, the best meals take the least effort.
I can't wait to try more recipes -- although I'm not quite sure I will be able to tackle the frog legs!
