ballet class

Today was little j's first ballet class. I don't know if I have ever seen her so excited. She looked adorable in her tights, leotard, skirt and slippers (all pink, of course). What amazed me most was her incredible posture. She was sitting in a chair waiting for the class to start and with her amazingly perfect posture she looked just like a little ballerina.

As excited as little j is about ballet, I have some reservations. I think about the girls that have eating disorders in order to maintain the "right" body type. What concerns me is that I am nearly certain that little j won't have the traditional ballerina body type. Of course there is nothing that says that she will still be interested in ballet 10, even five, years from now. But a mom still worries.
