8 things about me

Tracey at Life in Sugar Hollow tagged me for "8 Things*," so here goes . . .

1. I love baseball. In fact, I love it so much that I have looked into fantasy camp, becoming an umpire, and working for a major league team after I retire. To me, baseball is the ultimate summer activity. One of my favorite baseball quotes:

2. I play several instruments, including the clarinet and saxophone, moderately well.

3. Upon recent review of my grade school and high school report cards, I realized that I wasn't a great student. I'd sort of convinced myself otherwise. But apparently I was just average.

4. In an alternate world I am an English professor and poet.

5. From a conversation I recently had with my cousin/sister: I envy the lives of the women profiled in Title 9.

6. I consider myself a solitary person, but I don't like to be alone.

7. I have a small collection of eggcups and I am always on the lookout for more.

8. I think I would be completely happy living somewhere in Europe.
