there isn't a word for people who don't believe in witches

Let me begin this post with a statement on where I am in life: apparently, I'm an adult. Friday night at 9 p.m. Big J and I are watching Bill Moyers Journal on PBS. When did we get to this point in life?

Now to the main point of the post:
Last night Bill Moyers interviewed Jonathan Miller an extraordinary thinker and humanist. During the interview Dr. Miller made the statement that it nonsensical to have a name for those who do not believe in god or gods (i.e. atheist) because there are no words for those who do not believe ghosts or witches. He also said that he dislikes it when people say that people who do not believe in god are not spiritual. These statements, while thought-provoking, are just the tip of Dr. Miller's interview.

He made a case, a clear case, for the inherent problem with religion. At the same time he acknowledge that any organized movement of those who do not believe in a god would be ineffectual. It is true -- we are among the minority within the world.
