We are going camping this weekend in the Shenandoah National Park. I hope the weather is cooler and not stormy.
Part of me feels like the weather is turning. The other part of me thinks that part is delusional.
little j is loving horse camp. Every day when I pick her up I am struck by how comfortable she is and how grown up she looks.
Speaking of grown up -- the other day little j told me that she wasn't "grown up." Yes, she used air quotes, and used them correctly. Hysterical.
I think I need a new debit card because mind has to be swiped two or three times before it finally goes through.
We have failed, although not miserably, at gardening this year. Even our patio plants aren't that great. Big sigh....
It's getting to that point in the year where I start to have dreams, make that nightmares, about teaching.

Take heart, it was a terrible, terrible year for gardening (unless you did it full time and could water-water-water!). I even lost several shrubs. Shrubs!!
You are a great gardener. Your most beautiful flower told you she wasn't a "grown up." Now that's a garden well tended.
Ahhh.....my girlfriends know how to make this mom/gardener feel awesome!
