Case Histories

Another book completed in the New Classics Challenge. I just finished Case Histories, by Kate Atkinson. So engrossing! A few times I was utterly confused by the number of characters and the interwoven relationships, but it was well worth the bit of confusion for an amazing story and interesting, quirky, and, ultimately, likable characters. Each time I thought I had figured out one of the mysteries I was thrown back in the midst of lingering questions. I highly recommend this book.

Although I am still reading Manhunt, I have relegated A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius to the "unfinished" bookshelf for a time when I can devote a good chunk of time and really get into it. My "on-deck" books are: Indian Killer, Isaac's Storm, and Homicide: A Year On the Killing Streets. Given it's length, I think I will wait for Homicide and bring Indian Killer up to the plate.

(Yes, friends, baseball season is just around the corner!)
