a major problem solved

Over the last few weeks I have been diligently working on my lit review but feeling vaguely that I wasn't getting it quite right. Yesterday my dissertation support group (hereafter to be known as 'the ladies who dis') met and, despite her own significant dissertation woes, MLP helped me think through the issues and finally come up with a clear route in which to take. Props to you MLP!

So today I am sequestered in the library and writing my ass off, but I have started to panic that my advisor, whose baby is due on November 17, will go into labor any day. And for some reason I doubt she will want to sit through my defense while she is having contractions, nor would she care for me bringing my committee to her delivery room. Motivation indeed!
