secret crushes revealed

When I was growing up I hated the fact that I had red hair. Now I celebrate that fact of my life. And although I think redheaded women are incredibly beautiful, striking, and somewhat unconventional, I have never felt the same way about redheaded men. If presented with the choice I would always choose a dark haired bad boy to the redheaded danny-boy. (I think it goes without saying that Big J fits the former description.)

But recently there are a few redheads that have caught my eye, and I think it is time to come clean. So here's my list and corresponding theories of attraction:

Bobby Flay: What can I say, I am attracted to men who can cook. And not only can Bobby cook, he's got a great sense of humor that is often self depricating. His new show, "Throwdown," is a perfect example. And I think it's incredibly sexy that he is always happier when his opponent wins. Sure he's one cocky chef, but I think he has earned that cockiness.

Dierks Bentley: Close second to a man who can cook is one who can sing. And damn! if you haven't heard "Come a Little Closer" you are missing out. He wouldn't have to ask me twice! Plus, look at that smile, those eyes, that curly hair!

Dale Earnhardt, Jr.: My crush on Junior defies all logic. First of all, I don't pretend to understand or like NASCAR. I never have and never will. Second, I've only seen Junior in a couple of interviews, but he doesn't strike me as the brightest crayon in the box. What is endearing, other than that beautiful smile, is his apparent shyness. Maybe it's all an act, but he certainly has me fooled.

Conan O'Brien: This was my first secret crush on a redhead. This man can make me laugh with a simple facial expression. But he's not only funny, he's one of the most intelligent and perceptive comedians working today. Perhaps the most endearing thing about Conan is his propensity for goofiness. He's not afraid to be silly. The only negative thing I can say about Conan is that he is on way too late for me.
