an odd occurrence

I have been in grad school for four years, and I generally park in a big lot and then take the bus to the ed school. In all the time I have spent over the last four years waiting for the bus, no one has ever spontaneously struck up a conversation with me. Until today. And it was totally random, we just started talking. I think I have just gotten so used to people on their cell phones or listening to iPods that it just seems odd to actually have a conversation.
