The Best Laid Plans

little j and I are traveling to Oregon today. We used miles and got a sweet deal to fly from Cville to Southern Oregon -- this is a minimal amount of drive time plus we would get into Oregon by noon.

Of course it was too good to be true. As fate would have it our flight out of Detroit was delayed at the gate for nearly and hour and we missed our connecting flight in Salt Lake City by 10 minutes. So instead of arriving at noon we are arriving at 8 p.m.

Of course things never turn out how you expect. At the very least we have amazing views of the mountains and the happy news that Cousin H and her husband welcomed a new baby boy into the world this morning. A boy in the family! We are all very excited!
