Do wishes come true?

Sunday night at dinner little j mentioned that none of her wishes had come true. Big J asked her what she wished for and, of course, she said that if she told us then they really wouldn't come true. So I told her that sometimes wishes need a little help, and Big J told her that sometimes for wishes to come true you have to work at them.

So, without further ado, here are little j's wishes:

• Be magic
• Get a horse
• Have a flower garden

I think both Big J and I were a little relieved that they weren't more complicated. Big J told her that maybe she would get a magic kit for her birthday and start practicing her magic skills. We also told her that she couldn't have a horse until she was 10, so she should put that wish on hold. And the flower garden? Well, not so difficult and we told her we could all work on that together.

In little j's case, wishes really do come true.
