It's 7:00 p.m. on Friday and I think I've just had a taste of what life would be like if I was 1) single, or 2) we didn't have little j. Big J is traveling for work and little j took a trip to see a ballet and won't be home until late this evening.
Yesterday when all this was decided I was thinking that I could go see a movie or even fix myself a dinner that little j wouldn't normally like. But when I was getting ready to leave (a bit later than I usually do on a Friday), I decided to order Chinese and head home to watch a movie and finish a knitting project.
I got home, changed my clothes, poured myself a glass of wine and sat on the couch for a bit to relax. The cat climbed up in my lap and I turned on Law and Order (what else?). Before I knew it I was asleep -- I blame the warm kitty and wine. Is this what my life would be like if I were alone? I like to think not. But then again I love wine, L&O, knitting, and warm kitties. That certainly would be the same.
Big sigh.....I'm so far away from my 20s!

Sounds like heaven to me! We have pups that like to burrow under the covers against me on the couch. Five minutes of that and I am fast asleep. Enjoy the downtime!
