There have been some good days and bad days here at That Family's house the last couple of weeks. Big J is in his third week of his new job. I think he really likes it. It comes with a lot of new challenges and opportunities that he was really ready for.
Here's the thing -- I miss having Big J around to share things with on a day to day basis. We usually talk a couple times a day, but it's just not the same. And talking to other people isn't really what I need. In some ways it's good because we appreciate each other more, but that doesn't make it any easier.

I bet that is hard to not be in the same town. I hope that it starts to get easier as you and little j get into a routine. Do you think that you would ever want to move your whole family to the DC area?
A routine would be nice! We are getting there, but I expect it will take a couple more weeks. We really have no desire to move to DC -- between my job and having little j in such a nice community I can't imagine leaving!
