The smell of sharpened pencils. Leaves crunching underfoot. A slight chill in the air. The first scent of fireplaces on the breeze. Picking apples and tasting the tart/sweet flesh in the middle of the orchard. Pristine chalkboards. A hint of excitement, a promise of new ideas, a fresh start.

Corey teases me about getting excited about those same school-related smells. I used to also *love* the smell of my new lunchbox - including the plastic smell of the thermos. Holly Hobby was a favorite.
