Friday Random Thoughts

It is the end of the semester and I have one class meeting left. Students are presenting their research plans for next semester. And then I have a butt load of papers to grade. Awesome.

I will have my grades in by this time next Friday!

As part of my end of the semester ritual, I cleaned my office, put this semester's books back on the bookshelf and got out next semester's. It's a good feeling, although I have a giant pile of filing to do.

This has been a crazy busy week with something going on three nights and Big J out of town.

And in a particularly non-helpful style, the dog decided to have "stomach issues" last night. Seriously, getting up every couple of hours was supposed to stop several years ago.

Tomorrow is Christmas tree cutting day! We're all excited.

Today is "Coffee Day!" Big J bought a pound of Panama Esmeralda Special and it is ready to pick up today. This coffee is supposed to be amazing. At first we were a little hesitant because of the cost, but we rationalized (because we are super good at it) that a pound costs less than if we both bought grande Pike Place at Starbucks every day for a week.

I plan to have most of my Christmas shopping done this weekend. We'll see how that goes!
