Friday Random Thoughts - Women Rock Edition

In celebration of International Women's Day here are a few thoughts:

Katherine Bigelow first woman to win an Academy Award for Best Director. Yes the Hurt Locker was amazing, but Point Break will always have a special place in my heart.

The only female football coach in the U.S. is Natalie Randolph. Her appointment to the head coach position at Coolidge High School in Washington, D.C. was announced today. Bonus: she's a UVa grad.

Hillary Clinton. Enough said.

Gabourey Sidibe is one of the most amazing, confident, talented, and charming women I have ever seen. I wish I had a quarter of her confidence. Check out this for a taste of her awesomeness.

Sonia Sotomayor and Ruth Bader Ginsburg two women who have worked hard for what they believe in and made it to the top without apology.

And finally, the wonderful women in my life, near and far, who dispel the media-fueled myth that all women are in competition with each other. On the contrary, these are my sisters who are supportive, loving no matter what happens in life.
